They come from another time—but now they’re classics. Chic and stylish knits from the original Vogue Pattern Books of the 1930s–1960s return in an enchanting one-of-a-kind collection with more than 40 fabulous garments for everybody in t
The excellent mid-'60s Vogue recordings of Françoise Hardy have only occasionally been available to those outside France, usually courtesy of either shady collections or pricey imports. The Vogue Years solves that problem (at least temporarily, as long as it's in print), boasting everything the modern music connoisseur looks for: a lengthy, chronological track listing, crisp remastered sound, lengthy historical liner notes (by Bob Stanley from Saint Etienne), and an assortment of vintage photos. It hits most (surprisingly, not all) of her best recordings for Vogue from 1962 to 1967, beginning with "Tous les Garçons et le Filles," the multi-million seller recorded at her very first session. Disc two skips through her 1965-1966 material, during which she matured greatly as both a songwriter and performer, with productions that moved from the tinny sound of yeh-yeh pop into a fuller brand of rock arrangements. With no good retrospective also taking into account her extraordinary work from the late '60s (Comment Te Dire Adieu) and early '70s (La Question), The Vogue Years takes the cake as the best Françoise Hardy collection available. ~ John Bush, Rovi

U.S. is help any American citizen in the same way that helped David Goldman?
U.S. up a huge bill trade to force Brazil to deliver the child. Well I Goldman was a U.S. Senator and the representative of his side. But what would happen to an American with fewer resources than do not have the help of politicians at large. Could he / she is SOL?
"I totally enjoyed and satisfied with the decision releasing the child over Goldman. Hopefully the U.S. do this more often with mothers who abduct their children. Goldman will be a great father! In Brazil, they should be ashamed of themselves for dragging this out so long. The mother was an adulteress kidnapper and his parents are complicit in this crime. The passage of child-parent is only one eye, eye pain.

Why You Need a dress pattern to sew a dress?
wanted to know if I needed to buy a dress pattern to sew a dress.
If you do not know how to sew, yes, you need a pattern, preferably one for beginners. You need instructions on how to properly set the pattern in the fabric, cut and then how to sew together, and what parts in what order. You also need to know the shapes and sizes of the pieces to be cut. Please go to the library and take a few basic sewing books and read them through before, and will greatly increase the chances of more success and less frustration. Or better yet, take a sewing class or two .. There is a lot they can learn more easily in person than in a book or video.

I found a Swiss currency and wondered ...?
It might sound stupid for asking this, but I found a piece of Switzerland two weeks ago over and asked me only if something is worth in the U.S. or not. So I will describe: The front of the coin has the image of a woman's head, and involving head, says "Confederatie Helvetica" and "1997." The back of the coin has a "20" in the center and a floral and leaf design around. Thanks in advance for your response! Oh, and the currency is like silver and the bottom of the back of the coin, there is a small "B" where
A 1997 Switzerland 20 Rappen is very common. It may be worth $ 1US if you like new condition. There is a trial version of a value a little more. For Indeed, "Helvetica Confederatie" means "Swiss", "freedom" means "Freedom", "Helvetia" is the name of the lady represented in the currency (similar to the Statue of Liberty on U.S. coins), the coin is copper-nickel, and B means that the coin was minted in Bern. Hope that helps.

Swiss graphic design and "the Swiss Style" are crucial elements in the history of modernism. During the 1920s and `30s, skills traditionally associated with Swiss industry, particularly pharmaceuticals and mechanical engineering, were matched by those of the country`s graphic designers, who produced their advertising and technical literature. These pioneering graphic artists saw design as part of industrial production and searched for anonymous, objective visual communication. They chose photographic images rather than illustration, and typefaces that were industrial-looking rather than those designed for books.Written by noted design authority Richard Hollis, this lavishly illustrated volume looks at the uniquely clear graphic language developed by such Swiss designers as Theo Ballmer, Max Bill, Adrian Frutiger, Karl Gerstner, Armin Hoffman, Ernst Keller, Herbert Matter, Josef M¦ller-Brockmann, and Jan Tschichold. The style of these artists received worldwide admiration for its formal discipline: images and text were organized by geometrical grids. Adopted internationally, the grid and sans serif typefaces such as Helvetica became the classic emblems of Swiss graphic design.Showcasing design work across a range of media, including posters, magazines, exhibition displays, brochures, advertisements, books, and film, this essential book shows how many of the Swiss designers` modernist elements remain an indispensable part of today`s graphic language.
