How can I keep the swelling in the legs, ankles and feet under control?

Please only answer if your willing to help and people do not joke.Medicaly Knowledge helps! This swelling is painful and a nuisance. It prevents me from working! I've been tested for heart problems and all the other problems that could cause, and no doc says. I am peri-menopausel and noticed the situation worsens further I travel in my menopause years.Im looking for a good remedy for this and one without caffeine.
